Return of the late night visitor

As mentioned before, I’m fairly tolerant of nature and am not overly concerned about having a small, furry and rather cute room mate. However, events last night took the situation to another level…..

After last week’s encounter, I’ve got in the habit of putting any leftover food and my bin outside my door, so I don’t encourage visitors. Having done this, I was surprised when I heard the familiar “scurrying” when I woke up at 5am this morning. I decided to roll over and ignore it – knowing what it was. However 10 minutes or so later – when I was almost asleep –  my late night visitor decided to make its’ presence known and RUN UP MY AAAAARM !!!!!!  I JUMPED about 3 foot in the air and sure enough, when I turned the light on, there was my furry friend scuttling away from me across the floor.

Although he/she is not a threat, I’m not keen on being scuttled across, so could do nothing but doze with the light on for the next hour before getting up – with all parts of my body covered and defensive flip flop in hand !!

Given this escalation of behaviour, I must be honest and say that I’m not sure how our relationship will work out in the long term. Room mates is one thing, but using me as a human ladder/trampoline is another. Suffice it to say that I told Justice (on reception) this morning and we’ll just have to see what’s happened when I get back tonight…..

Suggestions anyone ? 🙂
